Brody and Associates Co-Presented a Seminar on Safe Driving Policies

Robert Brody and Sami Asaad spoke to the leaders of over 30 health care organizations about developing workplace policies to promote safe driving and reduce the risk of liability for employers. The presentation was part of a half-day seminar entitled, “Developing an Effective Safe Driving Program,” presented by The Workers’ Compensation Trust (an association of Connecticut employers in the healthcare industry). As part of their presentation, Bob and Sami discussed federal laws on background checks, Connecticut’s drug testing and electronic monitoring laws, key handbook provisions, and policy enforcement issues. They also focused on concerns by employers who require employees to use their personal vehicles for company business.
